Ascentia Corporate Services offers online notarization of Power of Attorney through video conferencing platforms such as Zoom or BOTIM. The principal must approve the POA draft prior to the online process. The notary public will use the video call to verify the identity of the principal and obtain their consent to grant the Power of Attorney. Upon completion of the e-notarization, the electronic POA will be sent to the principal’s email.

Personal Power of Attorney vs. Business Power of Attorney

It’s crucial to distinguish between personal and business Power of Attorney (POA) in the UAE. A personal POA is utilized when an individual is unable to sign legal documents due to incapacity, illness, or being out of the country. On the other hand, business Power of Attorney refers to a scenario where a company assigns a worker or an external party to execute specific or general transactions on its behalf.
